Dr. Wissam Belhadj

Podiatrist

Diligent, passionate, and deeply committed to professional growth, Dr. Wissam Belhadj provides each patient with evidence-based care rooted in the highest standards of podiatric medicine, with recognized competencies in the prevention and management of complex wounds.

Dr. Belhadj is known for her precision, dedication, and commitment to clinical excellence — particularly in the treatment of complex wounds and diabetic foot care. She is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Community Health at the University of Toronto, focusing her research on chronic wounds and diabetic foot management.

Before beginning her Doctorate in Podiatric Medicine at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières (UQTR), she graduated with distinction in Biochemistry from Concordia University, providing her with a strong scientific foundation that enhances her clinical practice today.

She is also a graduate of the International Interprofessional Wound Care Course (IIWCC) at the University of Toronto — an internationally recognized program that strengthened her skills in assessing and managing complex wounds through an interdisciplinary approach.

Throughout her studies at UQTR, Dr. Belhadj was actively involved in community care, serving as an administrator for the university’s podiatric clinics and volunteering at Maison de Lauberivière in Quebec City, where she provided podiatric care to individuals in vulnerable situations.

Her professional skills includes numerous clinical and surgical internships across private clinics in Quebec and Ontario, an intensive rotation in complex wound management at the Centre hospitalier régional de Lanaudière, and advanced surgical training at the prestigious Zivot Limb Preservation Center in Alberta, where she deepened her knowledge in podiatric surgery and diabetic ulcer care.

These diverse experiences have allowed Dr. Belhadj to develop strong skills in soft tissue surgery, medical imaging, biomechanics, pediatric podiatry, dermatology, traumatology, rheumatology, and advanced wound care management. She also has extensive experience with therapeutic modalities such as laser therapy, shockwave therapy, and taping.

Driven by a desire to improve access to care, Dr. Belhadj is currently in the process of obtaining her Ontario license to better serve patients across the greater Outaouais region.

Fully bilingual, she welcomes her patients with professionalism, empathy, and compassion — in both English and French.
