Dr. Wissam Belhadj
Podiatrist
Dr. Wissam Belhadj, podiatrist, also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from Concordia University, where she graduated with honors in 2020.
During her university studies in podiatric medicine, Dr Wissam Belhadj actively participated in volunteer activities, notably as an administrator of the community podiatric clinics at UQTR. She generously dedicated several weekends to Maison de Lauberivière in Québec, providing podiatric care to people in need.
Dr Wissam Belhadj enriched her experience through internships at various offices in podiatric surgery and private clinics in Montreal, Repentigny, Gatineau, Drummondville, and Ottawa. She also completed an intensive internship in complex wound care at the Regional Hospital Center of Lanaudière in Joliette, as well as an internship in Alberta at the prestigious Zivot Limb Preservation Center, specializing in surgical care for diabetic patients suffering from ulcers and foot infections.
These varied experiences allowed Dr Wissam Belhadj to deepen her knowledge in diverse areas, including bone surgery, medical imaging, biomechanics, pediatric podiatry, and complex diabetic wounds.
Motivated by her commitment to the health field, Dr Wissam Belhadj plans to continue her studies with a master’s degree in community health at the University of Toronto starting in September 2024.
Perfectly bilingual, she will be able to take care of patients in both French and English.
