Pied Outaouais – Collaborative Podiatric Surgical Care and Telemedicine
The Pied Outaouais team is proud to welcome Dr. Anne-Louise Smith, podiatrist, who joins our clinic with advanced training in podiatric surgery.
A graduate of the Doctor of Podiatric Medicine program at Université du Québec à Trois-Rivières, Dr. Smith continued her training in the United States, where she completed a three-year surgical residency at SUNY Downstate Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York in 2025. This program allowed her to develop solid expertise in foot surgery alongside renowned podiatric surgeons.
Committed to providing accessible surgical care to the Outaouais population, Dr. Smith will now practice in collaboration with the Pied Outaouais team, adopting an interdisciplinary approach that integrates telemedicine, bone and soft tissue surgery of the foot and ankle. She will work closely with our podiatrists to ensure effective and coordinated local follow-up care.
This innovative approach will allow many patients to benefit from comprehensive surgical evaluation and tailored treatments, while limiting travel to surgical centers outside the region.
Thanks to this integrated care model, Outaouais residents will now have access to high-standard podiatric surgical services in a professional, compassionate, and collaborative environment.
